Our ministries are intended to help you and your family draw closer to Christ. We offer a variety of ministry groups for all ages. You are welcome to check them out and get involved.

Prayer Meetings

 

Prayer meetings provide the opportunity for members to unite in prayer for our local church, nation and world. Meetings are a time of encouragement and joy as we lift our hearts to God in prayer and praise.

Children's Ministry

 

The children's ministry exists to glorify God by nurturing, encouraging and teaching children so they may grow to be mature followers of Jesus Christ. 

Youth Ministry

 

Our 'One80' Youth Ministry is for young people in high school and takes place on Friday evenings during school terms with occasional Saturday events.

Young Adults

 

Young Adults is a group of young men and women who meet together regularly as fellow believers in Christ to enjoy each others company and grow together in Christ.

Seniors

 

The Seniors' Ministry gives those who are retired or over 60 years of age the chance to meet together for fun time of fellowship and encouragement.

Home Groups

 

Home Groups are an excellent place to fellowship and connect with other members of the church in a small group environment, offering Bible study, prayer, encouragement, accountability and care. You are sure to find a group with the age-mix to suit your needs.

Safe Ministries

Throughout our ministry within the local community, Village Avenue Community Church is committed to the safety and equity of vulnerable people, including children and young people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, the elderly, people with disabilities, and people with identity and mental health challenges.

 

To this end, our staff and volunteers undergo annual training with Safe Ministry Check, as well as regular training within the church.
